About the Foundation

Girls are often disadvantaged, discriminated against, and left unprotected from violence. Seventy-two million school-aged children do not attend school—57 percent of them are girls. We want to change this and support girls and their families in their development.

The "Bohn Foundation" aims to help create a world in which children, young adults, and their families do not suffer from poverty, develop healthily, and can freely realize their potential. A world where children, young adults, and their families are treated with dignity and respect. We particularly want to advocate for the needs of girls in developing countries. Therefore, the needs, rights, and wishes of these girls are at the heart of all aid projects supported by the Foundation.

Since the Bohn Foundation is managed in trust by the Plan Foundation "Hilfe mit Plan," the Foundation will primarily engage in Plan projects. According to its charter, the Bohn Foundation can also support other projects that align with the Foundation's purpose with up to 49% of its funds.
